About InterVarsity Press
InterVarsity Press does not review unsolicited proposals, manuscripts or self-published books. Authors can email a proposal only after direct contact with an IVP editor, who then supplies the guidelines. The Christian publisher is now based in Lisle, Illinois.
InterVarsity Press, founded in 1947, is the publishing arm of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and works within its purpose statement. It publishes thoughtful Christian books meant to shape the lives of readers and the cultures they live in, under several imprints including IVP Academic, and it launched its LifeGuide Bible Studies series in 1985. It is based in Lisle, Illinois.
IVP does not review or respond to unsolicited proposals, manuscripts or self-published books, and it does not return submissions. The route in is direct contact with an IVP editor, for example at a conference; the editor then explains the proposal process.
