About Tachyon Publications
Tachyon Publications is open to agents only. It reads agented adult speculative fiction, including science fiction, fantasy and horror, sent as a pitch in the email body with the full manuscript attached. It is not considering anthologies, series novels or reprints, and it takes no direct submissions from authors.
Tachyon Publications is an independent speculative fiction publisher in San Francisco, founded in 1995. Its list includes Brandon Sanderson’s The Emperor’s Soul, Peter Watts’s Fold Catastrophes and Daryl Gregory’s The Porcelain Sisters, and it also occasionally publishes mysteries, memoirs, young adult and literary fiction.
For now, Tachyon considers only agented adult fiction. Agents email a pitch with the full manuscript attached in a standard Word format. The press is not considering anthologies, series novels or reprints and is not generally looking for collections or nonfiction. Unagented authors are pointed to agent databases.
