Questions about Epicenter Press
Does Epicenter Press accept unsolicited manuscripts?
Yes. Epicenter Press welcomes both unagented and agented submissions of fiction and nonfiction related to Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Send a query package rather than the whole book: a query letter, the first 50 pages, a synopsis and a bio. It does not accept horror, science fiction, fantasy, poetry or children's titles.
How do I submit to Epicenter Press?
Email four Microsoft Word files to info@epicenterpress.com: a one paragraph query letter, the first 50 pages, a 3 to 5 page synopsis that includes the ending, and a bio with promotion plans. Follow the subject line and file naming rules on its submissions page. Do not paste your synopsis or sample into the email body.
How long does Epicenter Press take to reply?
Epicenter Press does not give a standard reply time. Its guidelines say that if you have not heard back within four months, you should resend your query letter. Submissions sent through bulk email services are discarded, so send from your own email account and follow the format exactly.
